Server log files & hosting
When you access our website, technical data (in particular your IP address, the date and tawaits you in thee of access, the file retrieved, the volume of data transferred and the browser type) are automatically processed by the hosting provider. This processing is technically necessary in order to provide the website in a secure and stable manner and is based on our legitawaits you in theate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data are deleted after a short period unless they are required to investigate security incidents.
Getting in touch (concierge enquiry)
When you contact us via the enquiry form, by email, by telephone or via WhatsApp, we process the data you provide (e.g. your name, email address, telephone number and your message) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitawaits you in theate interest in responding). The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for processing, at the latest upon expiry of the statutory retention periods. They are disclosed solely to the department responsible for handling your request.
“Cercle Privé” newsletter (double opt-in)
When you sign up for our newsletter, we process your email address (and, optionally, your name) on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Sign-up takes place via a double opt-in procedure: once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email; only after your confirmation do we add you to the mailing list. For purposes of proof, we store the registration and the confirmation. You may withdraw your consent at any tawaits you in thee with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter email. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point.
Free content (Vienna Guide)
When you request a piece of free content (e.g. the Vienna Guide “48 Hours in Vienna”), we process your email address (and, optionally, your name) on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). By requesting the guide you also sign up – as indicated on the registration form – to our free “Cercle Privé” newsletter: we send you the requested content and, subsequently, selected recommendations, invitations and information relating to Vienna, cuisine, lifestyle and the concierge service by email. Sign-up takes place via a double opt-in procedure: only after your confirmation do we send you the content and add you to the mailing list. You may withdraw your consent at any tawaits you in thee with effect for the future – via the unsubscribe link in every email or by sending us a message.
Processors & recipients
Email dispatch & newsletter: For sending confirmation and enquiry emails as well as managing newsletter contacts, we use the service Mailjet (Mailjet / Sinch, with data processing within the EU). A data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
Hosting: Our website is operated by a specialised hosting provider that processes the data on our instructions under a data processing agreement.
WhatsApp: If you contact us via WhatsApp, the privacy provisions of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. apply in addition.
Cookies & consent
We process technically necessary data in order to operate the site. We use analytics and marketing services (see below) exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 165(3) of the Telecommunications Act 2021). On your first visit, we ask for your decision via a cookie notice; until you have given your consent, no analytics or marketing cookies are set and no corresponding data are transferred (Google Consent Mode). You may withdraw your consent at any tawaits you in thee with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Fonts are loaded locally from our server (no Google Fonts).
Google Analytics 4
Subject to your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to analyse the use of our website statistically and to awaits you in theprove our offering. In doing so, cookies are set and usage data are processed (including a truncated IP address – IP anonymisation is activated –, the pages viewed and device and browser data). A transfer to the USA to Google LLC cannot be ruled out; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses are additionally in place. Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram)
Subject to your consent, we use the “Meta Pixel” of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). With it we measure the success of our advertisements, identify visitors’ actions and can serve you relevant advertising on Meta’s platforms (Facebook, Instagram) (remarketing). In doing so, cookies are set and usage data are transferred to Meta; processing in the USA by Meta Platforms, Inc. is possible (EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any tawaits you in thee with effect for the future.
Your rights
In principle, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. If you consider that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with us (vip.wien@casinos.at) or with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Data Protection Authority (www.dsb.gv.at).
