Vienna usually wears its elegance without making a point of it. On six evenings in September, the city shows it deliberately: from 14 to 19 September 2026, Halle E+G at the MuseumsQuartier becomes the runway of Vienna Fashion Week. Around 40 designers, a shopping floor, three talks, and that brief moment when a length of fabric under the spotlights brings the whole hall to silence.

Six evenings, one hall

Vienna Fashion Week is a production by creative headz, the team around Maria Oberfrank, Zigi Müller-Matyas and Elvyra Geyer. In 2026 it moves to a new venue: Halle E+G at the MuseumsQuartier. The range on show is one you rarely find in one place, from a fashion school's presentation to international labels.

The hall does not open for the same hours every day. Monday belongs to the Opening Show alone, from Tuesday the programme runs until 10 pm, and from Wednesday the shopping floor in Halle G opens as well.

In last year's photographs the audience sits an arm's length from the runway, and between two shows the foyer is as full as the hall itself.

The opening on 14 September

Monday belongs to a single item on the programme. The hall opens at 7 pm, the Opening Show begins at 8 pm, this year hosted by FR!TZ EYEWEAR. It is the show in which several houses present in succession; in 2025 they included Nicolas Dudek and Diana Baroni. And it is the one evening with its own admission: you get in only with an invitation or an opening ticket, which costs 190 euros. In 2025 the red carpet came first.

Items marked * are the three talks with free entry, for which registration is required. Items marked † are the two points where the sources disagree: the show schedule puts the Combinat show on Tuesday at 9 pm and Karim Temimi on Wednesday at 6 pm, while the designer pages of Vienna Fashion Week give 8 pm for both. The website times are used here. The presenter of Rose Mars differs in the same way: DITP Thailand in the show schedule, Royal Thai Embassy on the website. With a programme of this size, changes right up to the evening itself are the rule rather than the exception, so it is worth checking the official site before setting out.

The names that carry the evening

A number of houses were on the runway last year and are returning. Karim Temimi shows on Wednesday evening; in 2025 it was sharp cuts over soft colour gradients and gloves you only recognised as part of the construction at second glance. Pitour is on the schedule the same evening.

SYLGV, the collective supportyourlocalgirlgangvienna, shows the collections of Amateur and Kamen on Wednesday at 7 pm, complemented by Viennese jewellery and accessory design. The same evening, Dreizehn appears as Artist in Residence of the MuseumsQuartier, a studio that works from salvaged fabric scraps, holds everything together with a red visible stitch and produces no offcuts; in 2025 the slot was filled by denim designer Idan Yoav. On Thursday at 9 pm, Rose Mars shows, a unisex label from Thailand built around denim. And on Friday at 9 pm Nicolas Dudek closes the evening, whose gowns were already part of the 2025 opening show.

Perhaps the most Viennese item on the programme comes on Tuesday at 4 pm: Fashion Reloaded powered by Pensionist*innen Klubs Wien. There are no models on the runway, but Viennese men and women who have long known what suits them. Last year’s photographs show how that turns out: a finale with raised arms.

In Halle G, the houses that also appear on the runway sell their pieces, joined by names such as Arion Jewelry, Atelier Bombardi, Atelier Snow, Denaé Carrywear and Tattee Lowell. Anyone who only wants to browse gets in without a ticket during the early hours. Anyone who wants a good seat at a show comes early.

A fashion evening is rarely just a fashion evening. A table beforehand that needs no glance at the clock, a bar afterwards where the conversation continues, and in between a car that waits instead of having to be found: it is precisely these transitions that decide whether an appointment becomes an evening. Our concierge takes care of them, from the reservation to the transfer, and knows the addresses around the MuseumsQuartier that still convince at 11 pm.

Vienna Fashion Week is not an event you simply tick off. It is the one date in September when, for six evenings, this city looks very closely at what it puts on.
